Guardain Village Prayer Request
Guardian Village is asking for prayer request on several Issues.
Please pray with us that:
1. Mr. and Mrs. B will have a change of heart In asking GV to leave one of their current facilities.
2. They will not require GV to vacate the building.
3. That GV can locate a wonderful flat or home that the B family will be happy to move into.
also
GV has been looking for a parcel of land for a center where they can drill a well and construct a filtration system that will provide clean, healthy water for their children, women’s shelter, staff families, and the local community. Please pray that:
1. They can make contact with land owners and that we will have their favor and the the resources
necessary to make a reasonable offer to buy their land contiguous to ours and the main road.
2.That the land that is to be theirs will be protected and released into their hands at the right time.
also
On health issues please pray that:
1. The GV family will once again enjoy health and wholeness.
2.The distractions of the Enemy will be stopped
3. Those who have been afflicted will experience complete healing.
I wish I could give more information, but as mentioned earlier, they are in a place where it is better to be anonymous, but your prayers will be heard and understood.
Guardian Village Donation
When we travel with Faithware to do festivals and shows, we always keep a box by the cash register where many people drop the change they just received back from their purchases. Some give generously more! We do give this entire amount to Guardian Village which they use for scholarships for the children. We did not do as many shows this year for various reasons, we did only 7 last year. But, I thought I would pass on that we did collect $80.53 for 2009 which was all passed on to Guardian Village. They do appreciate it and more than you know! Thank you all!
Human Trafficking Awareness Day
January 11th was “National Global Human Trafficking Awareness Day.” President Obama had declared January 2010 as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Many cities and states are creating events to help support the cause, but as one blog I read put it, “everyday should be National Global Human Trafficking Awareness Day.”
As a reminder, two of our vendors are deeply involved in working with children and families to help combat human trafficking, Guardian Village & Threads Of Hope. Please keep them in your prayers.
And if you think that this happens everywhere but the US, check out Not For Sale, they post a map showing where reported case are located, including the US.
Take the time and read “Terrify No More” a book written by Gary Haugen, the founder of International Justice Mission. It tells about several of their cases and how the IJM came about. You can find out more about them here.
To learn more and join this movement check out the following sites:

Justice For Women -The “Link” button on the left hand side sends you to a page that hosts various links on more global issues.
Took a Short Vacation
Well, I took a little unexpected vacation for the last few weeks. No problems, just had life get a little too hectic and I had to put a few things on hold to catch up. Obviously the blog was one of those things.
We have some fun things coming up and I am anxious to get back into the swing of things here as well. In two weeks we have one of the bigger events of the year for Faithware. We will be a vendor at Lifest 2009, a huge Christian Music Festival up here in Wisconsin. Always a great event, and being surrounded by those filled with Christ is always energizing. I was planning on posting from the event, so stay tuned, and definitely come talk to us if you are planning on attending. You need to check out our new product from Guardian Village and also some brand new product from a couple of brand new ministries we have started partnering with. I will also be listing those on the website soon as well, if you can’t make it to a show. So keep checking in …
Please Pray For Nepal
We have been hearing about the political turmoil effecting the country from our friends in Nepal. You can read more about it here. Also “Gospel For Asia” (who our friend Sara is going to be working for very soon) has over 300 Churches in Nepal.
Please keep our friends in Nepal in your prayers.
Please keep Gospel for Asia and their native missionaries in your prayers.
Please pray for the leadership and citizens of Nepal.
